Every few months…or at least once a year I meet with a group of friends who were the OG woodshop team for dinner and a chat about life, work, and PROJECTS ON THE GO.
One of the topics of tonights discussion was working on one big thing at time. Start, work, work, work, finish. I mentioned that I had to put all other larger side projects on hold to finish the Chunk on time and a response was
‘I was talking with a friend and he asked me what I had been up to recently and even though I had been working on so many things I couldn’t tell them what I had actually done’
While working on only one project at a time, this time worked, when working with wood i’m finding it more and more useful to prep or at least store what will be needed for a later date so while I would like to jump straight into the next big project, setting up the next one and the next next one first as…they are both wood and the wood needs to time to chill.
A little filming for the video later when the ‘real’ work starts.
Laying the oil on a little toooo thick. However I had a piece sleeper wood left over from the last frame I made. And it looks amazing after sitting in the window at home for the last year. Time to sand, scrape and oil the next batch for the window, so its ready for the winter build…or next year.
